Presenter:  Shelby Hinterscher, Owner of Vayda Jane Bridal

I am Shelby Hinterscher and I currently reside in Dieterich with my husband, Dalton, and two boys, Maverick and Gunner. My husband and I are both Dieterich natives and have known each other since kindergarten. I was a member of the CEO class of 2013. In college I studied accounting. It was hard for me to get through college because I wasn’t a fan of my major. But my goal was to someday own my own business, so I stuck with accounting. During my collage career I became an Effingham County chamber scholarship recipient. My current boss at the time told me about the scholarship. I was so thankful for the opportunity because I was a college student paying my own way and I’m so thankful for all of the relationships and connections I have made. Now, I own my own business in downtown Effingham, Vayda Jane Bridal. I have made so many wonderful connections before starting my business that when I started, I’ve had so many people happy for me and there to support me. I feel like the chamber scholarship had a huge impact on my connections in life. I know I am doing what I’m supposed to be doing in life. I’m doing what makes my soul sing and I am just so thankful and happy to be back home and to have started a business in downtown Effingham.
