8:30-10:30 a.m.
Join us, Friday, January 31 at 8:30 am as the Partners-4-Effingham County’s Growth (an alliance of the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, City of Effingham, Effingham County and Effingham County Economic Development Foundation) along with Ameren Illinois, host an informational session on the Midwest Inland Port, an emerging transportation and logistics hub in Decatur. It can benefit Effingham County companies that are involved in inbound and/or outbound transportation of goods. Use of this unique facility can translate into significant transportation time and cost savings, especially applicable to companies that import or export products internationally.
Larry Altenbaumer, interim President of the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County (EDC) and Mark Schweitzer, ADM Director of Intermodal Freight, will lead a presentation providing an overview of the capabilities of the Midwest Inland Port and an explanation of the opportunities the Midwest Inland Port brings to Effingham County and the surrounding area. See the attached flyer for more information. We hope you and/or others from your company will attend.
The meeting will take place on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Thelma Keller Convention Center. Attendees can make a reservation by contacting the Chamber office at 217-342-4147.
