"Credit Card Chip Card Technology - Are You Ready?"
Beginning October 1, 2015, merchants that do not have payment devices capable of reading chip cards will face additional financial risk related to cardholder disputes.
Steve Erickson from Midland States Bank will discuss what this "liability shift" means for merchants that accept credit cards from their customers whose payment devices are not capable of reading chip cards. Learn the explanation of what the chip technology actually does and how it protects cardholder data.
