Chili Fest

The Effingham Central Business Group is hosting Chili fest 2013 on Friday October 18^th, from 5pm – 8pm.

The stage is set for a great evening of festivities and fun for the entire family. The central location for Chili fest will take place on Jefferson Street in Effingham. Many participating businesses in the Effingham Central Business district will serve as hosts to chili tastings, treats and refreshments, activities, and shopping!
Nearly two dozen businesses will host either a complimentary chili tasting stop or other treats and refreshments throughout the evening. Festival goers will be given ballets to vote for their favorite chili. The top vote getter will be receive the “Chili fest People’s Choice” Award.

Entertainment kicks off at 5pm at the Jefferson Street Central Stage located in downtown, featuring local performers. Taylor Law Office will host Russ Howard and Millennium Accessories will host Allie Keck beginning at 5pm. Firebox takes the stage at 6pm, playing two entertaining hours of the best Bluegrass music in the area. Music is being sponsored by the City of Effingham Convention and Visitors Bureau.
