DESCRIPTION:Make plans to visit downtown Effingham to kick off your family's holiday season and welcome Santa to town with a DRIVE-BY visit\, sponsored by the Downtown Effingham Business Group.\n\n \n\nSanta will make his grand appearance to downtown on Saturday afternoon!  The parade will travel down Jefferson Ave. at 3:50pm\, arriving downtown at 4pm.  Vehicles will be director to enter onto 4th Street at the intersection of 4ht & Jefferson Ave where Santa will be outside in front of the Santa House to great children from their vehicles from 4pm-5pm.  No in-person visits will take place during this time.\n\n\n\nSanta's helpers will distribute goody bags to the first 250 children who drive by to visit.\n\n \n\nThe official City of Effingham Community Christmas Tree Lighting will be held Saturday evening and will take place on the Old Courthouse lawn at 5:00pm.\n\n \n\nMask wearing & social distancing is encouraged throughout the event.
